School Uniform list

The new branded uniform can be ordered online or purchased in person from the Beat Uniform Harpenden Store. We appreciate your support in making our Flamstead Village School children look smart, uniform and proud of their school. 

Beat School Uniform

White or red polo shirt

Red sweatshirt or cardigan

Red hoodie (PE days only)

Red PE top with black stripes on the shoulders

Red beanie hat (winter)

Red cap (summer)

Ruc-Sac - there are two choices, one smaller more suitable for EYFS / KS1 and the larger one for KS2 however KS2 can use the smaller ruc-sac if this is more suitable for them (optional)

Drawstring bag for additional PE kit or for a change of clothes (optional) 

Other uniform

Black or grey trousers, shorts, skirt or pinafore dress

Tights – black or grey

Socks – black, grey or white 

Black shoes. these should be sturdy and enclosed. If your child cannot tie laces please use Velcro shoes

Red gingham dress (summer term only)

Other PE Kit

On PE days children come to school in their PE kit and remain in their PE kit.

Black shorts

Plain black jogging bottoms or plain black leggings 

PE Trainers for outdoor PE – any colour. If your child cannot tie laces please use Velcro trainers

Please remember that if you are not purchasing our new branded uniform that any non branded uniform and PE kit needs to be completely plain without logos. 

Hair

Hair that is shoulder length or longer should be tied back.

Hair bands, ribbons/bows or ‘scrunchies’ should be plain and either red or black or white in colour. 

Jewellery

Jewellery is not permitted in school unless this is for religious or medical reasons.

Earrings must be small studs which must be removed or covered with medical tape for PE

Wrist watches may be worn but only for the purpose of telling the time. ‘Smart’ watches linked to mobile phones are not permitted.

Nail Varnish and Make-up

Make up and nail varnish should not be worn to school.

Water Bottle / Snacks

Individual water bottles must be brought into school daily. They must be named and contain only water please.

EYFS and KS1 children have a fruit snack provided.

KS2 need to bring a fruit snack or a healthy snack in each day for morning break.

If your child brings a packed lunch this should be as healthy as possible. Lunches should not contain nuts, nut based products, chocolate or sweets please. 

Coat

Each child is expected to come to school prepared for being outdoors in all weathers. 

Outdoor coats can be any colour.

Wellies

All children need to bring a named pair of wellies or outdoor shoes into school for outdoor learning.
