School Dinners

We offer all pupils the opportunity to participate in school dinners, and offer a cafeteria style service through Herts Catering Ltd (HCL) who are the County providers of school meals.

Universal Free School Meals:

Free school meals are offered for ALL children in Reception Class and Years 1 and 2.  Every eligible child can take advantage of having a delicious school meal every day completely free of charge - saving over £400 per year per child!

Pupils are offered a choice of meat or fish, a vegetarian option or a packed lunch option to choose from daily. On Wednesdays the children have a lovely roast dinner and on Fridays the popular choice is pizza. The menus rotate every three weeks.

Parents are provided with a new menu at the beginning of each term.  If parents prefer, they can provide their own packed lunch.

Daily price from April 2024 : £3.35 FOR KS2 CHILDREN
